Late Affiliate Commissions
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007The Scourge of Overdue Affiliate Commissions
Getting paid via affiliate companies is a problem that arises every so often when you depend on your from online merchants.
Overall, 90% of the time, I have been paid every month or sooner - and the correct amount. It makes good business sense to pay your affiliates IF you want them to promote your program
.
It is very frustrating though when commissions become delayed or worse still you realise that you are not going to be paid at all.
Today I received a payment from Article Marketer - about 5 months too late. According to them there had been a problem with their payment and affiliate tracking databases and so they were unaware that there was any problem with payments. Since I have just been paid, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
On another front, I have waited almost 4 months
for my affiliate payments from SFI(Strong Future International) since changing over to their new payment card.
I am one of SFI top affiliates and this delay is just unacceptable. In my opinion if you are going to change over to a new system of paying your affiliates then you had better have a good idea that the changeover will be speedy and hassle free.
Ok, problems can arise but 4 MONTHS? Come on SFI!
By the way Cash cards are a great way to get paid commissions and SFI is one of many affiliate programs that offer this option. I DO have one or two other cards and there has never been a problem receiving commissions.
My affiliate payments are paid directly to this card on a set date every month and I can withdraw my commissions from most ATM machines here in Ireland. It beats waiting on a check, which usually take 1-2 weeks from the U.S.
