One Major Benefit of Tracking Your Website Visitors

One highly profitable benefit of tracking my website visitors - besides the ability to know how my current advertising strategies are paying off - is that I can pinpoint areas on the search engines with profitable keyword terms that have little to no competition.

I get many visitors coming from the search engines daily for terms that I have not been specifically targeting.

For instance I may be targeting a keyword term ‘work at home ideas’ and suddenly find some visitors coming to my site for the term ‘computer work at home jobs’. If this is a term that I hadn’t thought of, then I am going to be on that like a shot, discovering more ways that I can profit from these unexpected visitors.

One way that I do this on my blog is to write an article specifically for this ‘unexpected’ keyword term using the keywords in the article. Posting this on the same domain blog where the traffic has arisen tends to boost my rankings for the same term.

When I find site getting a few visitors for a page 2 search term on Google for a keyphrase. A keyword specific article sends my ranking to page one in most cases - depending on the competition for that keyword.

If you don’t find yourself getting to coveted page one on Google with the keyword specific article. Try writing another article and posting it to the major article databases using Submit Your Article. When you do this make sure to use the targeted keyword phrase as link text in the resource box of your article.

If the first search engine ranking strategy didn’t work then combining it with the above will surely drive your site to the top pages of google for the targeted keywords.

Building a Profitable Email List is the Mainstay of Any Internet Marketing Business

I finally got to sit down and watch the first DVD in Mike Filsaimes’ 7 Figure Code product.

It’s definitely off to a promising start. In this first DVD Mike basically runs through what the course contains.

The recordings where taken at a $5000 per head seminar, so I think the $500 I invested will be well spent.

Anyway, one idea that Mike touched on was the fact that his whole business was built around collecting the first name and email of his web visitors.

If you look at the websites of any internet marketer there will ALWAYS be one or more opportunities for you to add your name and email - be it to receive a free course or to subscribe to their newsletter.

The point of this - from the marketers point of view - is to give them an opportunity to keep in contact with you and send you offers - to turn you into their customer at some point down the line. That’s it in it’s most basic form.

Now, of course there are many different strategies and tweaks you can impliment to make your email marketing campaign more powerful but the main idea is to get the email and build a list.

The 7 Figure Code is not an email marketing course. From what I gather from the first DVD, it is a course providing a structured plan to grow a successful internet business.

The fact that Mike tells us that his business starts and ends with email marketing, testifies how important it is to start building your own email list.

Email list marketing - building a targeted optin email list - is a crucial and very profitable aspect of any internet marketing business. That cannot be over-stated. It has all been said before ‘The Money is in the List’, ‘Your List is a Gold-Mine’ etc. etc..

No matter what market your business is in, you MUST collect your web visitors contact details. This is even more so in regards to customers. If you are not adding your customers details to a database then you are losing vast profits that can be got through repeat sales of your other products and the products and services of your partners.

Fear is Your Greatest Obstacle to Internet Marketing Success

Without a doubt the main obstacle that prevents you from starting your own internet marketing business is procrastination - one of a thousand and one fears - brought on by the ‘paralysis of analysis’. You are likely becoming bogged down by worrying over the minute details, and about making mistakes and you MUST overcome this ‘block’ if you are ever to even make a start on your internet home business.

Even taking the smallest action can put you in a better frame of mind. This ‘action’ can be as simple as registering your own domain name. It only costs about $10 per year to register your business name - your .com - so it is hardly a massive risk.

The type of action isn’t of the utmost importance if you are paralysed by fear. Taking any action is more about breaking through barriers and creating momentum. Every successful internet business - without exception - has been built one step at a time, one day at a time.

From my own experience online - and from listening to other super affiliates and the so called internet marketing ‘gurus’ - they did not have an exact plan in mind when they setout. They took positive action on a daily basis and the plan presented itself over time. The little successes led to their current success in life.

Again, just make a start! The tweaks and fixes are part of everyday online business life. These can be implimented as you go along.

I can make a prediction about your life even though I have never met you - If you have wanted to start an internet marketing business and have not taken action yet then it is because you are coming up with excuses everytime the time comes to make a start. I am not a seer or psychic. I know from working with other would be online entrepreneuers that there are always excuses about why they cannot start today.

If I could some up this unwllingness to get started in one word it would be FEAR. The only way to overcome fear is by postive action.

Of course, I am not encouraging to continue your business at length without some sort of plan. You do need to setout a budget and plan your time carefully. There is one action you can take today though - no matter how small - that will set you on your path to finally getting your business up and running.

Even if you look at the worst case scenario it is never so bad as you have made it out to be. Write down your fears and worries. It will be much easier to see a solution if you put your problems on paper. For instance if you have a financial worry, one solution would be to find ways to build your business using free internet marketing methods. If you have a problem with time then you may set a time limit on your daily internet activities.

Rome was not built in a day and neither will your internet business. It will never be built though unless you take some sort of action today - no matter how small and insignificant this ’start’ may seem.
